Discernment Counselor Training

As a pastor for over 34 years, I know that ministry to marriages in crisis can be challenging.  Hope For The Hurting Home has developed a 10 lesson Marriage Make Over Program written by Dr. George Kenworthy, that utilizes the best practices of assessment, counseling psychology, and Biblical truth to lead a hurting couple through the healing and reconciliation process. All our counselor training events are interactive learning experiences that will help you and your team develop a strategy to change the culture of divorce in your church, practice, or organization. Plan on joining a scheduled training or book our team for your next on-site training event.
Russ Berg has been a key participant in the Crisis Marriages in Faith Communities Project which I have led for about 2 years through the Minnesota Couples on the Brink Project.  Russ has a central focus on marriage issues at this point in his career, and is a leader int he group's effort to conceptualize the challenges clergy fave in helping crisis marriages and developing best practices that can work in the real work of church life.  He gets the issues at both professional and personal levels, demonstrating an appreciation of the humanity of all involved in these crisis situations.  William J.
